Korbin Kameron

Our Story

Korbin Kameron, Moonridge Vineyard is a family endeavor. On a drive through the Sonoma Valley, we - Jenny and myself along with our children Kristin, Korbin and Kameron - came upon a homestead hovering high above the valley floor, so high that the land lived above the clouds. The house looked over acres and acres of rolling hills, wild with nature. And in that idyllic scene, we saw our dream of working together and creating quality wines from our estate grown grapes coming to life.

After many years of planning, turning, planting and nurturing the land, we reaped our first harvest and Moonridge Vineyard was born. Our wine brand, Korbin Kameron, is named after my two twins. The vineyard, located on a 186 acre property on Mount Veeder, embodies the best trait of each member of my family: know-how, determination, creativity, vision, compassion and exuberance. Though we are new to the enterprise of winemaking, we have relied upon their acumen and experience in business and fashion to craft quality Bordeaux varietal wines and create lasting family memories.

One of our greatest strengths is to find the expertise and experience of others like a great vineyard manager, Phil Coturri, as well as an experienced veteran winemaker, Timothy Milos, and craft it so that it fits our vision of quality. Most importantly, we learn and grow together.

Mitchell Ming

Proprietor

The first time Mitch saw the beautiful 180 acre property on top of Mt. Veeder, he fell in love with the land. He first started drinking Californian wines in the 1970s and knew he wanted to make wine after his first trip to the wine country. He is constantly making improvements upon the vineyard including look out points and a koi pond. With the help of Timothy Milos & Phil Coturri, the vineyard is now producing great wines for years to come.

Timothy Milos

Consulting Winemaker

Timothy Milos has practiced his craft in since 1997, producing terroir driven wines from unique vineyard. Tim uses traditional, minimalist winemaking techniques to reveal the vineyard’s distinctive characteristics. Although a 5th generation Bay Area native, Tim found his career in wine while in the New York Finger Lakes, leaving behind a graduate fellowship to work harvest in the Napa Valley. In addition to studying viticulture and enology at U.C Davis, Tim has worked with Stags Leap WIne Cellars, Opus One, Cliff Lede Vineyards, and with Dromana Estate in Australia. Focusing on mountain Caberent Sauvignon, he steadfastly pursues his creative passion at the intersection of art, science,
and culture that is wine. Tim joined the Korbin Kameron team in the Spring of 2014.

Phil Coturri

Vineyard Manager

Nobody has more experience farming mountain vineyards in Sonoma than Phil. After 35 years pioneering organic and biodynamic winegrowing in California, descriptions range from "famed organic viticulturalist" by the Hollywood Reporter to "the ubiquitous wizard of sustainable winemaking" by Sonoma Magazine. He was born with the cultural palate of Italian immigrants, weaned on the music and ethos of San Francisco in the 1960's and planted deep into the rocky hillsides of Sonoma
Valley.
